Karissa was raised in Port Isabel and began her animal career working with monkeys and birds. She started working as a vet tech in 2014 and joined N 10th in 2016, where she has continued to learn and hone her skills. She often enjoys fostering shelter pups, along with caring for her 3 dogs, Guinea Pig, and Ball Python. She lives in Edinburg with her husband and son. She loves reading, travel, and trying out new restaurants with family and friends.
