Dr. Ilya Carson Horrox grew up on a ranch in northern California. She attended California State University, Chico where she received her bachelor degree in animal science with a minor in biology. Dr. Carson graduated from Ross University School of Medicine after completing her clinical year at Texas A&M College station in 2007. She enjoys the outdoors and is an avid horseback rider. Dr. Carson and her husband relocated to McAllen, TX in 2011 where she joined North 10th Street Animal Hospital. They have two beautiful children and three dogs named Otis, Smidge and Lana. Dr. Carson enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and takes a special interest in surgery.
